Our Story

Elite House Cleaning Services of Brooklyn, NY started in 2014 on Cortelyou Road, and the neighborhood shaped the company more than the other way around. Ditmas Park and Prospect Park South are full of houses that most cleaning companies simply aren't set up for — detached wooden Victorians of eight, ten or twelve rooms, with original interiors that a careless visit can damage permanently. We built around those homes rather than around the apartment work that's easier to schedule. 7,500+ cleans and a 5.0-star rating from 150+ clients later, that's still what we're known for.

The practical difference comes down to two things: sizing and training. Sizing means we quote a house on its actual scale and send enough people to finish it properly in one visit. A ten-room Victorian with two staircases, five bathrooms, a finished basement and an attic is a full day for a team, and pretending otherwise just produces a half-cleaned house and an awkward conversation about extra charges. Training means our cleaners learn what quartersawn oak, shellacked banisters, stained glass, pocket doors and hundred-year-old hexagonal tile each need before they ever work in one of these homes.

Not everything we clean is a Victorian, of course. Flatbush has one of the most varied housing stocks in Brooklyn, and on any given week we might be in a pre-war apartment on Ocean Avenue with original bathroom tile, a limestone row house in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a two-family in Kensington where an owner lives downstairs and tenants above, a detached single-family in Midwood with a yard and a finished basement, and a compact row house in Windsor Terrace on a standing weekly plan. Each gets a visit scoped for what it is.

The rest is simple and doesn't change. Your flat rate is confirmed before we start and doesn't move afterwards. There's no stair surcharge, which matters when a house has two staircases and an attic. Every cleaner is background-checked, insured and bonded. And if we ever miss something, we'll be back within 24 hours to put it right at no cost. After 10+ years in this neighborhood, most of our work still arrives because a neighbor recommended us over the fence.
